Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke admits that being involved in the Madrid derby is always special.
Los Colchoneros will take on Real Madrid in the 155th edition of the Madrid derby tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Koke has revealed that he is very passionate about playing in the derby against Los Blancos and it is a very special occasion for any Atletico Madrid player to be involved in.
“I have been very passionate about the derby against Real Madrid since I was little”, Koke said on the club’s official Facebook page.
“There is a pride involved with wearing the Atletico Madrid shirt and it is even more special when we play against Real Madrid.”

Even though there have been high profile departures from Atletico Madrid this summer, with Diego Costa, Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis all joining Chelsea, Koke feels that the club have added enough quality to the squad to maintain their strength.
“We have a strong squad even though some of the players left the club this summer.
“However, a lot of players with hunger for success arrived at the club.”
Atletico Madrid won the corresponding fixture 1-0 last season and also won La Liga, with Real Madrid finishing third.
