QPR midfielder Leroy Fer has admitted that Manchester United were just too good for his team in their Premier League encounter at Old Trafford today.

With the Red Devils handing debuts to Marcos Rojos and Daley Blind, while Angel di Maria made his home debut, the visitors soon found themselves up against it.

And with goals from Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata, QPR were comfortably put to the sword 4-0 by Louis van Gaal's men.

Facing Manchester United was just a step too far for Fer, who admits it was one of the matches he has least enjoyed in his career so far.

"This is one of the less fun matches in my career and one of my worst games", the midfielder told FOX Sports.

"Of course, that is also because we played against much better opponents.

"We were hoping to keep a clean sheet in the first half and then it's up to yourselves with your own chances.

"That was unfortunately not going to happen."
