Chelsea are snapping up Romanian sensation Cristian Manea for €3m.

The Blues have moved quickly to ensure that the 17-year-old pens a contract at Stamford Bridge when the transfer window opens again in January.

According to Romanian outlet Dolce Sport, Jose Mourinho's men will pay Viitorul Constanta €3m to sign the defender, who they will then send to Spanish side Real Mallorca or Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem on loan.

Manea, who most often operates as a right-back, has made rapid progress over the last 12 months.

He earned a senior Romania cap earlier this year, making his international debut for the country against Albania.
