Eden Hazard is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea which will make him the highest paid player at the club.

A product of Lille’s youth academy, Hazard joined Chelsea in 2012 for a transfer fee of £35m after impressing in French football.




Since then he has become an integral part of the Chelsea squad and also played a crucial role in the Pensioners winning the Europa League in his first season at the club.

He has made 115 appearances for the Blues in total, scoring 31 goals and providing 34 assists.
 


The Belgian is now all set to sign a new five-year contract with the club which will make him the highest paid player in the squad, according to Soccer News.

Cesc Fabregas, who joined Chelsea this summer, is currently the highest paid player, earning €250,000 per week, but Hazard’s new contract is set to surpass that figure.

The 23-year-old has also earned 48 international caps for Belgium and played in the World Cup in Brazil.
