Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he is not going to speak about goalkeepers this season at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have made a bad start to the campaign and are currently 13th in the league table on three points.

Their latest defeat came at the hands of arch rivals Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, as Diego Simeone's men won 2-1.

Los Blancos will take on Basel at home tomorrow in a Champions League Group B fixture and Ancelotti feels it is the perfect game for his team to make a strong statement and put their season back on track.

"I think this game comes at the right time”, the Italian said in a press conference today.

“We have to show a reaction based on our quality. Hope to see a good game and a good start to a competition which we strongly believe [in victory].”

Goalkeeper Iker Casillas was booed by a large section of the home crowd against Atletico Madrid on Saturday and there is pressure from the stands to give summer signing Keylor Navas a chance in goal.

However, the Italian refused to comment on the goalkeeping controversy at the Bernabeu.

"The debate for me is closed”, Ancelotti explained.

“I want to be clear on the record that there will be no discussions on goalkeeping and I will not add to it. This season I will never speak about goalkeepers."
