Brazilian legend Zico arrived in Goa earlier today to take charge of the Indian Super League (ISL) outfit FC Goa.

Earlier this month it was announced that Zico will coach the Goa franchise in the inaugural season of the ISL.




Zico arrived in Goa alongside Roberto Mendes da Silva (Beto) a former Dempo, an I-League team, player and a native of Brazil.

The 61-year-old was received at the airport by Alberto Colaco, who leads the side at FC Goa, along with his other team members.

A number of FC Goa players also arrived at the club a day earlier and will undergo training under the supervision of Zico for the inaugural season of the ISL that is scheduled to start next month.

The 61-year-old earned 71 caps for Brazil and played for his country in the 1978, 1982 and the 1986 World Cup.

He has also coached in countries such as Brazil, Japan, Turkey, Russia, Greece, Iraq and Qatar.
