Scotland right-back Alan Hutton has signed a new three-year contract with Aston Villa and will remain at the club until 2017.

The news was confirmed by the Premier League club today.

Hutton joined the Villans in 2011 and managed a total of 34 appearances for the team during his first year at the club.

He was however frozen out by manager Paul Lambert over the last two years and had failed to manage even a single appearance for the Claret and Blues until this year.
