West Ham midfielder Mark Noble believes that a point away from home against Hull City was important for his team after their Southampton disappointment.

The Hammers came from behind twice, to register a 2-2 draw at the KC Stadium last night.

Newcomer Enner Valencia contributed to the scoresheet for the first time this season, while another summer recruit, Diafra Sakho, found his shot being deflected by Hull defender Curtis Davies to end up in the back of the net.

While a win would have been a bonus, the veteran midfielder believes that even a point was crucial, as it helped them to recover from the 3-1 loss against Southampton last month.

"We are happy to come away from home and get a point. We knew how hard it was to come here and we knew the form they are in at the start of the season", Noble told his club's official site.

"For the neutrals it was probably a good game to watch. To twice come from behind was brilliant for us and hopefully we can carry that form on into the next games.

"We have got Man United and Liverpool coming up and it is not going to be easy.

"It was important to get something out of the game after our result against Southampton a couple of weeks ago. We were really poor.

"I think we showed tonight we were back on our game."
