Leeds United caretaker manager Neil Redfearn has praised his side for a come-from-behind 3-1 win away at Bournemouth this evening, revealing at half-time he drubbed belief into the players.

Redfearn saw his side fall behind in just the sixth minute as Bournemouth started strongly, pegging Leeds back. But the Whites held on, with goalkeeper Marco Silvestri making a number of saves, and headed in at half-time just 1-0 down.

The second period saw Leeds grow into the game and Souleymane Doukara then struck in the 67th minute to draw the Whites level.

Giuseppe Bellusci (82nd minute) and Mirco Antenucci (89th minute) then put the hosts to the sword and secured a welcome three points for Leeds.

And for Redfearn, the key was belief.

"It's an excellent performance, great away performance. If you score three goals away from home it takes some doing, particularly at a place like Bournemouth", he told LUTV.

"The biggest thing [at half-time] was to just make them aware of how good they are and what they're about and where they've come from.

"They've just beaten Bolton 1-0, just drawn at Birmingham 1-1, outplayed Birmingham second half. They're a good side and they've got to start believing that", Redfearn added.

Next up for Leeds is a local derby when Huddersfield visit Elland Road on Saturday.
