Leeds United caretaker manager Neil Redfearn has delivered positive news on the fitness of starlet Alex Mowatt, revealing the midfielder has not fractured his toe.

Mowatt, who scored Leeds' goal in their 1-1 draw against Birmingham City at the weekend, missed tonight's 3-1 win away at Bournemouth and there were fears raised for the amount of time he could spend on the sidelines.

But Redfearn has delivered positive news for Leeds fans concerning Mowatt.

"With Alex we were a bit fearful that it was a crack in his toe, but the X-rays have come back clear and I think it's bad bruising, so we're going to have to monitor him", the caretaker manager told LUTV.

In Mowatt's absence Leeds ran out 3-1 winners over Bournemouth away from home.
