Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Jack Wilshere's injury history leaves him cautious about an ankle blow the midfielder picked up against Borussia Dortmund last night.

Wilshere hurt his ankle in the Gunners' 2-0 Champions League defeat to Jurgen Klopp's men in Germany, instantly raising fears for his fitness.

And Wenger admits that with the England international having been plagued by injury in recent years, he is playing a wait and see game.

"Jack Wilshere has turned his ankle", Wenger said via his club's site.

"It's difficult to say how bad it is because I am a bit cautious, normally it's not very bad but because of his history I'm a bit cautious.
