Interim Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn admits he feels comfortable in his role at the club, but has refused to be drawn on taking the post on a full time basis.

Redfearn, who saw his side beat Bournemouth 3-1 away from home last night, was handed the post on a caretaker basis following Leeds' decision to sack David Hockaday as manager following three defeats from their first four Championship games.

The academy chief has steadied the ship, presiding over wins against Bolton and Bournemouth and a draw with Birmingham.

Asked whether his run has changed his view over the post, which he has been reluctant to throw his hat into the ring for, Redfearn said he is comfortable in the job.

However, the former Charlton player insists that his focus is only on improving the players, rather than his own personal ambitions.

"I'm comfortable in it [the role]", he told LUTV.

"I love working with players and the lads have responded to be fair.

"I want them to play, I want them to have the ball, I want them to show people what good footballers they are", Redfearn added.

Next up for Leeds is a local derby against Huddersfield on Saturday.
