Tottenham Hotspur Under-21 defender Milos Veljkovic has warned his senior club mates that Partizan Belgrade are a difficult team to beat on their home turf.

The north London side will travel to Belgrade to take on Partizan tomorrow in a Europa League Group C fixture at the Partizan Stadium. Asteras Tripolis FC and Besiktas are the other two teams in the group.

Tottenham are the favourites to win the group, but Veljkovic believes that Partizan are a tough nut to crack, especially on their home turf.

The Serbian explained that Partizan are one of the biggest clubs in his homeland and they regularly feature in the Champions League.

The 18-year-old said that Partizan’s European pedigree and quality can never be questioned and Tottenham should not take them lightly.

“Partizan is a great club in Serbia, they have a strong support and have been champions on many occasions”, Veljkovic told the club’s official site.

“Partizan and Red Star Belgrade are especially strong at home.

"They are always in the Champions League and that shows their quality. It will be a big challenge for us.”
