Former Stoke City and Crystal Place boss Tony Pulis has had no contact from Cardiff City over their vacant managerial position.

The Welsh club confirmed earlier today that they have parted company with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a poor start to their season.

The Norwegian joined Cardiff in January, but couldn’t prevent the club being relegated from the Premier League into the Championship last season.

And a poor start to the new campaign in English football’s second tier led to the club owner Vincent Tan losing patience with the former Manchester United striker and showing him the door.

Pulis, a Welshman, is without a club after he left Crystal Place just before the start of this season over disagreements with the club over transfer strategy.

However, Cardiff have made no official approach to the former Stoke City manager, according to the BBC.

Cardiff are 17th in the Championship table on eight points.
