Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has explained that his side were “frustrated”, following their 1-1 draw with Ajax in the Champions League last night.

The French giants failed to bag the full three points at the Amsterdam ArenA despite taking the lead through Edinson Cavani in the 14th minute.

But Lasse Schone’s 74th-minute free-kick levelled matters for the hosts and left PSG frustrated.

And Blanc, who admitted PSG were in for a tough game, credited Ajax for sticking to their attacking philosophy throughout the course of the match.

“If we analyse the match and look at the chances we had we can say that we're frustrated, but it was a tough match, especially in the second half”, the Frenchman told UEFA’s official site.

“I want to emphasise the fact that Ajax have a lot of quality and have created a lot of problems for us and held on to their playing philosophy.

Group F’s other game last night saw Barcelona edge out APOEL 1-0 to move atop the standings.

Hence, Blanc underlined the importance of his side claiming the full three points against the Catalans at the Parc des Princes on 30th September.

“Barcelona have got three points already so we have to take three points in the next match and see where we stand”, he added.
