Sturm Graz sporting director Gerhard Goldbrich has waved away growing speculation that Leeds United want to appoint the club's boss Darko Milanic as their new manager.

Milanic, who took over at Sturm Graz last year following a hugely successful spell in charge of NK Maribor in his homeland of Slovenia, has been mooted as a leading contender to take control at Elland Road.

But Goldbrich insists that the Austrian Bundesliga outfit have not had contact from Leeds over Milanic and has asked that the boss be allowed to concentrate on the club's forthcoming clash against SV Reid.

"We have received no enquiry", he told the Kleine Zeitung, when asked about Milanic to Leeds talk.

"Milanic and the players are focused on the game against Reid. There's nothing more to say", he concluded.

Milanic has the same agent as Leeds midfielder Zan Benedicic, with both being represented by Amir Ruzic.

Benedicic joined Leeds in the summer transfer window from AC Milan, signing on a season-long loan deal at Elland Road.

Should the Slovenian impress, the Championship club have a purchase option included in the loan.
