Former Manchester United first team coach Phil Neville has criticised Yaya Toure’s performance in Manchester City’s loss to Bayern Munich last night.

Former Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng scored a last gasp winner for the Bavarians to break the hearts of his old team at the Allianz Arena last night.

The Citizens will take heart from the fact that their team fought hard against one of Europe’s elite clubs on their home turf.

However Neville, a former Manchester United defender, passed on some scathing remarks against Manchester City’s midfield general Toure.

The former Everton man said that the Ivorian midfield enforcer failed to turn up last night and his body language suggested that he was unhappy.

"That wasn't the Yaya Toure we've seen in big games over the past three or four years for Manchester City”, Neville told BBC Radio 5 live.

“He didn't look happy.

“He was strolling around the pitch and his body language wasn't right."

In the other Champions League Group E clash, Roma thrashed CSKA Moscow 5-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in Roma last night.
