Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva has claimed Angel di Maria is in sparkling form ahead of the Red Devils' trip to face Leicester City on Sunday.

Di Maria made his home debut for Manchester United last weekend and scored in the club's 4-0 rout of Harry Redknapp's QPR.

The £59.7m British record transfer signing has the weight of Manchester United's expectations on his shoulders, but Rafael claims he has been in sparkling form in training today.

Questioned by the club's site who shone on the training pitch, the Brazilian full-back said: "Today, I would have to say it has been Angel di Maria.

"We played 10 against eight and he scored a great goal and he was really good."
