Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes it is perfectly possible Roy Keane could be happier as an assistant than a manager.

Keane, who has clocked up managerial stints at Sunderland and Ipswich Town, is currently assistant manager at Aston Villa and with the Republic of Ireland.

He took the post at Villa earlier this year and has been handed a big slice of the credit pie for the Midlands club starting so brightly this term; they currently sit second in the Premier League with ten points from their opening four games.

And Wenger does not believes it is out of the question that the former Manchester United midfielder is happier being out of the spotlight.

"You find your place where you're happy and that's the most important thing in life", Wenger said via his club's site.
