Inter Milan boss Walter Mazzarri has explained that he was pleased with his side’s performance in their 1-0 win over Dnipro in the Europa League last night.

Danilo D'Ambrosio’s 71st-minute strike was the difference between the teams as the Italian giants returned home from Ukraine with the full three points.




And Mazzarri, who feels his side played well against “tough” opponents, however wants Inter to now focus on their upcoming Serie A clash against Palermo on Sunday.

"We played a really good game today. We afforded very few opportunities to some tough opponents”, the manager told his club’s official site.
 


“I can say I'm happy, although we needed to stay a bit more switched on towards the end. Now we'll move on to Palermo."

Dnipro are currently second in the Ukrainian league with 16 points from six outings, just two behind leaders Shakhtar Donetsk.

Hence, Mazzarri underlined the importance of Inter’s win in Dnipro’s backyard.

"Yes, it's very important. No one will find it easy to come here and turn them over – they're doing very well in the league", he added.

Inter, who thrashed Sassuolo 7-0 in their previous Serie A fixture, are currently fourth in the league standings with four points from two games.
