Wayne Rooney has stressed the importance of training hard to get things right on the pitch for Manchester United.

The England striker recently celebrated his tenth anniversary as a Manchester United player and he has scored 218 goals in 446 appearances for the club.

Louis van Gaal anointed him as the club captain ahead of the start of the new season and Roy Hodgson also named him the England captain last month.

“It's great when the team are going forward, playing flowing football and scoring goals”, Rooney told MUTV.
