Newcastle United saviour Papiss Cisse claims he has only done what he was supposed to do, after scoring a brace against Hull in the Premier League today, in a 2-2 draw.

The Magpies went 2-0 down in the second half before the 29-year-old came off the bench in the 69th minute, claiming his first goal four minutes later before earning his team a valuable draw three minutes before full-time.

And it appears that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew had a quiet word with the striker yesterday.

"I just do something that the trainer needs me [to do]", Cisse said after the game, via the BBC. "He said that he needed me yesterday and I just do my job."

Pardew has increasingly come under pressure after his team's poor start to the league season, having secured only three points from five games and just one clean sheet so far.

The Magpies were accompanied by booes during the match before Cisse's equaliser, with fans holding up banners demanding Pardew's departure.

Despite being two goals behind, Newcastle dominated today's match, with 25 shots, six shots on target and 64% possession of the ball.
