Real Madrid bounced back to form emphatically today, thrashing Deportivo La Coruna 8-2 away from home in La Liga and leaving on loan striker Javier Hernandez delighted.

Hernandez, who is at the club on loan from Manchester United, hit the back of the net twice in the contest after coming off the bench.



Real Madrid's goals came from Cristiano Ronaldo (29th, 42nd and 78th minutes), James Rodriguez (36th minute), Gareth Bale (66th and 75th minutes) and Hernandez himself (88th and 92nd minutes).

For the Mexican striker goals mean confidence and he believes his has been boosted by his brace.

 


"I've never set targets because goals are the product and result of team-mates, but they give you a lot of confidence", Hernandez told reporters post-match.

"I always hit the ball with my soul", he added.

Hernandez's first goal saw him control a long pass on the edge of the penalty area before cracking an unstoppable volley into the back of the net.

His second goal was also a long range effort, with the Mexican hitting a shot from 20 yards out which flew past the goalkeeper.
