Leeds United caretaker boss Neil Redfearn believes he has done his reputation no harm during his time in charge of the Yorkshire giants.

Redfearn was handed the caretaker role following the club's decision to sack David Hockaday, who led the club to three defeats in their first four Championship games of the season.

Today he led Leeds to a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Elland Road; three points to go alongside wins over Bolton and Bournemouth he also presided over, while the Whites also drew with Birmingham on his watch.

However, current Sturm Graz coach Darko Milanic is expected to be named the new Leeds boss, possibly as soon as early next week.

Redfearn believes he can look back at his time as caretaker boss with pride, having got the players on side and achieved results.

He also insists he was not interviewed for the manager's job.

"I've done the best I can. The lads have applied themselves really well, they've got to take great credit", Redfearn told the BBC.

"I don't think I've done myself any harm.

"The conversations I had with Massimo [Cellino the club’s owner] are basically about the game today and training last week, and how we've done.

"I haven't been interviewed. The conversation I had with Massimo was would you look after it, and I said I would."
