Leeds United caretaker manager Neil Redfearn has insisted he cannot shed any light on talk that Sturm Graz coach Darko Milanic is set to be appointed the club's new boss.

The Slovenian tactician has been heavily linked with taking charge at Elland Road, with claims having been made that he could be appointed officially early next week.

Redfearn has been keeping the seat warm following the sacking of David Hockaday and today led the Whites to a 3-0 home win over Huddersfield Town.

But Redfearn cannot shed light on whether he will soon be told to stand down and make way for Milanic.

Asked by the BBC what he could say about Milanic's imminent arrival, Redfearn replied: "I don't know.

"I couldn't tell you", he added.

Redfearn led Leeds to wins over Bolton, Bournemouth and Huddersfield, and a draw with Birmingham City, during his time in charge at Elland Road, further enhancing his reputation.

The former midfielder, who runs Leeds' academy at present, continually played down his interest in the senior manager's job, despite his positive performance in the post.
