Leeds United caretaker boss Neil Redfearn believes the club's squad is good enough to push for a top six finish in the Championship this season.

The Whites struggled at the start of the campaign, losing three of their first four Championship games under former boss David Hockaday, who paid with his job.

Redfearn has turned the ship around, presiding over three wins and one draw, the latest victory coming today at home against Huddersfield Town, 3-0.

And the academy chief believes the quality is there in Leeds' squad to push for promotion this term.

"This squad can threaten the top six. I've told the players the sky is the limit. We were excellent from first whistle to last", he told the BBC.

Redfearn also took time to praise striker Mirco Antenucci, who scored in his second consecutive game.

"Antenucci has been outstanding in our last two games. He has such energy and awareness and his finishing was great.

"He did really well to keep the ball down when it came to him off the bar from Guiseppe Bellusci's shot."

Redfearn's time in charge however looks to be coming to an end, with Sturm Graz coach Darko Milanic in line to take the manager's job on a permanent basis.
