Wayne Rooney believes Manchester United are living through "exciting times" following the signing of world-class talents over the summer.

The Red Devils splashed over £150m on new players in the transfer window, with winger Angel di Maria and striker Radamel Falcao grabbing the lion's share of the headlines.

The new look Manchester United crushed QPR 4-0 at Old Trafford last weekend and are looking to continue their fine form away at Leicester City tomorrow, when they lock horns with Nigel Pearson's men, who recently held Arsenal to a draw at the King Power Stadium.

For Rooney, there is much to be excited about when it comes to looking towards the rest of the campaign, not least because of the new signings.

"The performance did look impressive", Rooney told MUTV, referring to the win over QPR.
