Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has saluted his side's comfortable 3-0 win away at Aston Villa this afternoon.

Villa, who headed into the Premier League clash sitting second in the table, frustrated Arsenal for the first half an hour at Villa Park.

However, Mesut Ozil popped up to give the Gunners the lead in the 32nd minute in what was the start of a three-goal blitz.

Welbeck then got off the mark for Arsenal, bagging a second for the Gunners in the 34th minute.

The third came via an own goal from Aly Cissokho, effectively ending the contest after 36 minutes.

And Welbeck could not hide his delight.

"I'm particularly pleased to get off the mark. It was a good team performance", the striker was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"We got behind them. We knew it would be difficult today. They had their chances but when we took our first one we looked in control of the game.

"I haven't had as many training sessions as I 'd like but I am starting to get to the players a lot better", he added.
