Darko Milanic will sign a two-year contract to become the new manager of Leeds United tomorrow after his departure from Austrian side Sturm Graz was confirmed.

The Slovenian tactician bid farewell to the Austrian top flight outfit in an emotional press conference earlier today, with Sturm Graz sporting director Gerhard Goldbrich handing him plane tickets to England, along with the club's best wishes.

Milanic is expected in England tomorrow ahead of putting pen to paper on a contract to assume control of the Yorkshire giants.

The 46-year-old will take his assistant at Sturm Graz, Novica Nikcevic, with him to the English Championship club.

Leeds have met Sturm Graz's demand for compensation for both Milanic and Nikcevic, paying the sum in full.

Milanic also had a release clause in his contract at the Austrian club, who he took charge of last year, fresh from a hugely successful spell with NK Maribor.

The coach's contract with Sturm Graz had been due to run until 2016.
