Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci has saluted the Elland Road crowd after he scored at the ground for the Whites on Saturday.

Antenucci, a summer signing from Ternana, headed into Saturday's derby clash against Huddersfield Town having scored in Leeds' 3-1 win over Bournemouth in midweek.

"I'm happy for the win, for the goal, for the victory.

"When I play in Elland Road, it's fantastic because the fans are very, very nice."

Antenucci, who has shone under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn, looks set to soon have to prove himself under a new manager at Elland Road however.
