Adrien Rabiot has decided to see out the season with Paris Saint-Germain rather than seek a switch away from the Parc des Princes in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old midfielder has just one year left on his contract at PSG and has refused to sign an extension due to concerns over the amount of playing time he is receiving.

Rabiot was linked with a whole host of clubs throughout the summer, including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in England, along with AC Milan, Roma and Juventus in Italy.

The France Under-21 midfielder had been expected to leave PSG in January, with the Ligue 1 champions pocketing a nominal fee.

However, according to Italian daily Il Tempo, Rabiot has now ruled out a January switch.

Instead the 19-year-old is hunkering down to see out the season in the French capital before leaving on a free transfer next summer.

Rabiot believes that will allow him more time to carefully choose his destination, along with an increased pay-packet and signing-on fee at his new side, as they will not have to splash a transfer fee to capture him.

That could see Roma a less likely destination as Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini is unwilling to be drawn into an auction.
