Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has hinted at potentially playing loan signing Javier Hernandez from the start against Elche in La Liga tonight.

Hernandez arrived at Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Manchester United in the summer transfer window and has so far been involved in every game since his signing, albeit from the bench.

The Mexican hit two impressive goals in Los Blancos' 8-2 demolition of Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday and is pushing for a start.

And Ancelotti has dropped a small hint that he may pick Hernandez ahead of Karim Benzema.

"Something will change", he told reporters, when asked if Hernandez will play.

"Since he arrived here he has played in every game, but not from the start.

"Against Deportivo he scored twice and has more confidence.

"He feels very well, he feels comfortable", the Italian added.

Hernandez is hoping to force his way into the Real Madrid starting eleven after continually being on the fringes at Manchester United.

The striker's loan deal also contains a clause allowing Real Madrid to make his stay a permanent one should he impress.
