Cristiano Ronaldo has tackled speculation that he could head back to Manchester United by insisting he remains happy and committed to Real Madrid.

Recently Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admitted he would look to snap up Ronaldo if it were possible, with money proving to be little object for a club that splashed £150m over the summer transfer window, raiding Real Madrid for Angel di Maria and Monaco for Radamel Falcao.

But Ronaldo is not in any mood to pour fuel on the speculation fire and, fresh off hitting four goals in Real Madrid's 5-1 drubbing of Elche last night, batted away transfer talk.

"It's all speculation about my future", the Portuguese was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

"My future is in Madrid, I'm happy and things are going well. I do not speak about my future, it does not make sense."

Ronaldo also explained he is progressing well physically.

"I feel fine, there's no pain.

"I'm getting better and I want to continue like this."
