New Leeds United boss Darko Milanic insists he finds the system whereby he does not choose the players that are signed by the club "normal".

Milanic was presented as Leeds' new head coach earlier today, having penned a two-year contract at Elland Road after quitting Austrian Bundesliga outfit Sturm Graz.

Much has been made of the structure implemented at Elland Road by Italian owner Massimo Cellino, which sees the owner himself, along with the club's sporting director Nicola Salerno, identify and sign players.

For Milanic, that is no issue at all, with the Slovenian concentrating on coaching the team.

"It's normal that I'm the coach, he [Salerno] is the sport director and I have to tell [him] what profile of player I want and we need", Milanic told a press conference.

"Then it's his job to see the strategy of the club."

Milanic, who won four Slovenian titles with NK Maribor, believes however that he is inheriting a decent squad, with Leeds having recruited heavily throughout the summer transfer window.

"Yes, I think it's good", he replied, when asked about the squad.
