AC Milan new boy Pablo Armero has admitted that his team are lacking a bit of confidence in defence, but feels they are capable of improving soon.

The Rossoneri have conceded a total of eight goals in four matches this season, a figure that does not impress Armero in any way.

And as he prepares to play his second league match for Filippo Inzaghi's team, Armero is determined to contribute to his team's cause as they look to improve on their defensive display.

"The team is perhaps missing a bit of confidence in defence, but I am sure that all of us together can improve on this aspect", the Colombian told his club's official site.

He also urged his team-mates to provide the defence with a helping hand, because it is in that particular area that they need to improve.

"All of us out on the pitch have to give a helping hand in defence because in attack we do well and we score lots of goals."

As far as individual effort is concerned, the 27-year-old vowed to work hard and give his 100 per cent for the team every time he is given a chance.

"As far as I’m concerned, I have to work and always give 100 per cent to be able to help the team out on the pitch."

AC Milan take on Cesena in the league this weekend.
