QPR manager Harry Redknapp does not feel he should have adopted different tactics against Manchester United at Old Trafford in light of Leicester City's 5-3 win over the Red Devils last weekend.

Redknapp's men crumbled at Old Trafford, being whipped 4-0 by Louis van Gaal's side and barely getting a kick throughout the 90 minutes.



While QPR decided to defend, Leicester adopted an attacking approach against Manchester United, which paid dividends as Van Gaal saw his defence implode and his team slip from a 3-1 lead to losing 5-3.

"I don't know [if we could have approached the game differently]. It’s not easy to do [to attack]. We were not overloaded with people that could do it at the time, it was difficult", Redknapp told a press conference.

"We didn't have the ball. It was hard to get at them on the day.

"We went there and played the way we played.

"We didn't play well. Whichever way we'd have set up, we didn't have a good day."

Redknapp's men locked horns with Stoke City last weekend, playing out a 2-2 draw against Mark Hughes' men at Loftus Road.

QPR travel to take on Ronald Koeman's Southampton side on Saturday, ahead of a trip to another of Redknapp's old clubs in West Ham on 5th October.
