Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has identified Roma as his side’s prime competitors for the Serie A title this season.

The Bianconeri, who won the league title for the third consecutive time last term, are currently atop the standings with 12 points from four games.

The Giallorossi have also won their four Serie A fixtures, but find themselves second in the table in view of having an inferior goal difference to the champions.

And Buffon feels that Roma, who finished the 2013/14 league campaign in second spot despite starting the season strongly, are now a stronger team capable of fighting for the Serie A crown until the very end this term.

"Roma will be fighting for the title to the very end”, he was quoted as saying by FIFA’s official site.
