Valencia are the early league leaders in La Liga after a comfortable 3-0 win over Cordoba last night.

Goals for Paco Alcacer, Jose Luis Gaya and Sofiane Feghouli allowed Valencia to go top of the table ahead of Barcelona and Sevilla on the basis of number of goals scored.

Alcacer, delighed by the feat, has insisted that Valencia have shown good early season form and deserve to be at the top.

"We are playing well at the moment and know what we want in each game", the 21-year-old was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"We are creating chances and we are where we are for a reason."
