Celtic assistant manager John Collins claims he can see progress "all over the pitch" at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys eased to a League Cup victory over Hearts earlier this week, beating the Jambos 3-0 to book a spot in the quarter-final where they will meet Partick Thistle.

Collins was impressed with what he saw and believes the signs are there that Celtic are shrugging off mixed early season form to kick on under manager Ronny Deila.

"The target is consistency, week in, week out. We have played well. Finished well against Hearts, looking for the same tomorrow", he said via the club's feed.

"It takes time, however. We’re not magicians.

"It’s about getting the balance right. We don’t want to be chopping and changing too much.

"The players are aware of what’s required and we see progress all over the pitch."

Celtic travel to take on St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership tomorrow and will be looking to move quickly up the league standings.

The Bhoys currently sit just fourth in the Scottish top flight after collecting eleven points from six games. Dundee United top the standings with 16 points from seven games.
