Arsenal and Manchester United are shaping up for a transfer scrap in the January transfer window over Juventus centre-back Angelo Ogbonna.

The former Torino defender is open to quitting the Italian champions after becoming frustrated at a lack of playing time at the Juventus Stadium.

Ogbonna is hoping his situation changes under new coach Massimiliano Allegri, but two of England's giants have already started to take an interest.

According Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, both Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on Ogbonna and positioning themselves to launch a swoop for the defender.

Arsenal and Manchester United have defensive issues and are expected to move to bolster their options when the transfer window opens again.
