Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart believes that the Citizens are more than capable of putting Roma to the sword in the Champions League tomorrow night.

Having lost their group stage opener away at Bayern Munich, while Roma thrashed CSKA Moscow, the pressure is on the English champions to grab the three points on offer at the Etihad Stadium.

And while Hart has nothing but respect for last season's Serie A runners-up, he does have confidence Manchester City can get the job done.

"It was obviously a disappointing start for us and this is a huge game for us", he said via his club's site.

"Luckily it isn't the knockout stages straight away and we have time to put things right but we need to start the home fixtures with a win.

"Roma have been doing very well and obviously we’ve been more aware of them since we drew them in our group and they had a great result on Matchday 1 as well. Every game is hard in this competition but we are more than capable of winning and we are all up for it.

"We seem to have had tough draws throughout our brief Champions League history and these are special nights, but have to set your standards high and make sure you win your home games", the England goalkeeper added.
