Young Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini will not be on the move in January, despite interest from Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, his agent has insisted.

The 22-year-old impressed with Sampdoria last season and has quickly sprung to life in the current campaign, striking twice in three Serie A games so far for the club; Gabbiadini has also found the back of the net in the Coppa Italia.

Attention has quickly flowed in the forward's direction, with talk of a potential January switch doing the rounds, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham being keen.

But for the player's agent, Silvio Pagliari, there is no reason for the starlet to quickly bail out on Sampdoria, especially not mid-season.

"I know that the director of Atletico was there to watch his last game", Pagliari told Tutto Mercato.

"For the market, it is premature to talk about it. If there are roses, they will blossom in the future. Who knows what will happen in a year?" he continued.

"I see no reason to change [in January].

"In June we wanted Sampdoria and we are happy we made this choice.

"Manolo is doing well and should continue doing so."
