Kieran Gibbs has lavished praise on Danny Welbeck for his hat-trick for Arsenal last night against Galatasaray.

Welbeck was in lethal form for the Gunners and hit the back of the net three times as Arsenal crushed the Turkish giants 4-1 in the Champions League at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners paid £16m to sign Welbeck from Manchester United this summer and boss Arsene Wenger is now deploying the forward in his preferred central striker role, while the Red Devils often shifted him to the flank.

Gibbs is impressed with his new team-mate and feels Welbeck has it all.

"Credit to him – he works hard, he's professional and he's a great player. He's important for us", the full-back told his club's site.

"I think he has a bit of everything. He's quick, he's strong, he holds up the ball and he works hard. When you work hard like that, the harder you work, the luckier you get.

"Credit to him – he fully deserves his hat-trick and his performance", Gibbs added.

Welbeck will now be aiming to take his form into a crunch Premier League clash against Chelsea this weekend.
