Lukas Podolski admits he will be forced to consider his future at Arsenal if regular playing time does not come his way.

The Germany forward faces fierce opposition for a starting spot with Arsenal following the club's summer signings of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.

Podolski has been an unused substitute on four occasions in Arsenal's last eight games and was again left on the bench last night for the Gunners' 4-1 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Kicking his heels is not something which sits well with the former 1.FC Koln hitman.

"I am a full blooded player, a street player and I love to compete", he explained to RTL.

"If I don't have this competition every weekend then a change must occur.

"We will have to see. But it is certainly something one has to think about."

Podolski was strongly linked with a move to Juventus over the summer, but stayed put at the Emirates Stadium after Olivier Giroud was ruled out until the new year through injury.
