Premier League outfit Chelsea have confirmed that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been given the all clear after precautionary tests on a head injury.

The Belgian collided with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and had to be eventually replaced by team-mate Petr Cech in the 24th minute of their match against Arsenal yesterday.

Following the injury, the Pensioners were criticised by brain injury charity Headway for not having anticipated a concussion and allowing him to play on for another 14 minutes before he had to be substituted.

However, now the club have confirmed that the player received a minor cut to his ear and has been given the all clear post the precautionary tests.
