Colombia striker Radamel Falcao is eyeing turning his loan move from Monaco to Manchester United into a permanent arrangement.

Falcao scored his first goal for Manchester United in the club's 2-1 win over Everton in the Premier League yesterday, being visibly delighted to get off the mark for the Red Devils.

He is on loan for the season from Monaco and while Manchester United have a purchase option in the agreement, it is set at a hefty €55m.

Falcao is hoping it is activated as his family have already settled in England, something which is causing him to wish for a long-term stay.

"Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United", Falcao told MUTV.

Falcao was substituted in the 73rd minute against Everton, but has been praised by boss Louis van Gaal for his performance.

Manchester United will not now play until 20th October due to the international break however, meaning a wait for Falcao to score again.
