Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he turned down two approaches to take charge of Paris Saint-Germain in recent times.

The Portuguese has long been admired at the Parc des Princes, but chose to head back to former club Chelsea when he quit Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

However, had Mourinho wanted he could have been firmly installed at PSG, when the club having made a move for him before Carlo Ancelotti was appointed in 2011 and then after the Italian left, to ironically succeed Mourinho at Real Madrid, in the summer of 2013.

"I knew about the project even before it was started", he explained to Telefoot.

"I was the (their) first option to work with Leonardo, before Ancelotti. And when Carlo left, they offered it to me", he continued.
