Leeds United's Brazilian starlet Adryan has revealed he is a firm fan of Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and Chelsea's Oscar, two countrymen whose impact in English football he is seeking to emulate.

Adryan is on loan at Leeds from Brazilian outfit Flamengo and the Whites have a purchase option included in the agreement which means the midfielder could remain at Elland Road permanently for a fee of €3m.

The Flamengo youth product is still awaiting his Leeds debut, but high expectations have already been attached to him by the club's supporters.

Adryan for his part will try to live up to them by seeking to emulate fellow Brazilians Coutinho and Oscar, who have flourished in the English game.

He told Globoesporte: "I met Coutinho when I played for Flamengo and he for Vasco [da Gama].

"I've always admired him and sought to see his games.

"Once a week, I would put his name into YouTube to see if they had a new video, because how he played was really impressive", the Leeds man continued.

"Oscar I had the opportunity to meet when the [national team] squads were together in Spain. He was in the Under-20s and I the Under-16s.

"Both players are really impressive and I seek to follow in their footsteps because they play in England.

"I admire them very much."
