Giuseppe Bellusci admits there is a slice of Italy running through Leeds United, but revealed new manager Darko Milanic takes training sessions in English.

The Whites recruited heavily from Italy over the summer transfer window and Bellusci was one of the fresh faces drafted in at Elland Road.

He quickly saw boss David Hockaday sacked, with his successor being Milanic, a man sporting director Nicola Salerno revealed was selected in part because of his international pedigree, being able to speak several languages, including Italian.

For Bellusci, being around so many Italian speakers makes for a familiar environment – but Milanic still insists on English in training.

"I'm getting better with my English, the coach leads training in English", he told Tutto Mercato.

"But with so many fellow Italians it is like being in Italy", Bellusci added.

And the defender also commented on the differences he sees between the English and the Italian game.

"There is more aggression, more physical contact [in England].

"In Italy however, it is very tactical."
