Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted he is happy with Rafael Benitez's performance as manager.

Benitez's position has been placed under threat in some quarters due to a slow start to the new campaign for the Azzurri, which also saw the club crash out of the Champions League.

But De Laurentiis feels Benitez and the players are doing their best and has congratulated the side for their 2-1 win over Torino in Serie A before the international break.

"Today I met with Benitez in Castel Volturno and gave him my compliments for the last performance", De Laurentiis said via Twitter.

"Benitez is doing a great job with a squad that are growing every day and giving everything without giving up.
